Usage logs
If you also want to receive details of email sent to your account or the amount of diskspace/traffic you are using we can also provide weekly logs for this.
To enable email logs create a file called .emaillogs in your home
directory. If you have a shell account, the simplest way to do this is to log
in and issue the command:
touch .emaillogs
Or create a tiny or empty file, and upload it with scp. For example:
scp empty yali.mythic-beasts.com:.emaillogs
Once enabled, logs will be sent every Sunday to postmaster@yourdomain - make sure this email alias works.
For a weekly summary of diskspace and traffic, create a file called
.usagelogs in your
home directory, and a forward file .forward-postmaster containing
the address to send the log. Again, logs will be sent every Sunday to the
specified address.
